PROBLEM
How can we help 11 - 16 year olds build resilience against the negative effects of consuming
too much online porn?



SOLUTION
Convincing cynical, sex obsessed teens to question their porn consumption was never going to be easy. We had to find the right way to convince them. We did this by showing them that if they were more aware of what was and wasn’t real in porn, they could avoid embarrassment in their real life sexual situations.
The central message was simple - “Don’t become a porn zombie!” This underpinned the campaign, ‘The Fight Against Porn Zombies’ (or F.A.P.Z).



EXECUTION

Through a wildly entertaining animated YouTube series, developed alongside young people and starring some of YouTube’s biggest names, we motivated young people to want to give themselves a reality check and separate the fantasy from the real thing.


RESULTS
1.31m video views (with an average of 74% audience retention)
5,598 comments from young people across the series, (making it one of Childline’s most successful YouTube campaigns ever).
